The Alaska Fishing Industry
Relief Mission has donated its remaining proceeds to the Louisiana
Fish and Wildlife Foundation to rebuild the public dock at
St. Bernards Parish. We have suspended our fundraising
efforts but will remain on standby in the event that a need
of similar magnitude arises in the future. We thank all who
helped in this effort.

The Alaska Fishing Industry Relief Mission,
Inc. (AFIRM) has been formed as a 501(c)(3) non profit charitable
organization and incorporated in the State of Alaska.
Within days of Hurricane Katrina's devastation of
the Gulf of Mexico, Senator Lisa Murkowski's office approached the
Alaska seafood industry and together we recognized the need to help
the Gulf of Mexico fishing industry. We have organized AFIRM with
a Board of Directors and a Board of Advisors representing the fishing,
processing, financial, transportation and logistics sectors of the
Alaska fishing industry. Together -- and with your support -- we
will deliver a helping hand to help restore the Gulf of Mexico fishing
industry.
This website is to provide information on our efforts,
and to provide an easy and secure way for you to contribute individually.
Be sure to check our BULLETIN BOARD
for direct opportunities to provide needed equipment or supplies.
To make a fully tax deductible contribution, see our
DONATE NOW button.
We thank you for your support.
